What do being an arts professional, a tarot reader, and a (formerly) licensed massage therapist have in common?
Honestly, even I wondered about that for a long time. The truth of it is that I love being able to facilitate putting people in connection—with themselves, their bodies and practices, with each other, and beyond.
In a world that emphasizes product, I’ve always been a huge proponent of process + practice. My first iteration of AbracaBekka (when I was a practicing LMT) was called “House of Akeso” for precisely this reason, as Akeso was the little known Greek Goddess of the process (of healing).
So of course, my work is a reflection of this. Life is dynamic. With time the subjects or shape of my work will shift, but my offerings will (likely) always be a kind of mirror for connecting or becoming.

“Self-Taught” Tarot Reader

“Self-taught” means, simply, I have not taken any trainings with any established practitioners. Nothing exists in a vacuum, so of course, in learning I meditate on cards just as much as I read books, have conversations, and stumble into divine inspiration; As an old friend from college used to say, “there are prophets everywhere.”
I do try to be good about citing information, even anecdotally, as I’m aware of it. Surely, you will learn more about my background in time through the tarot service, arts work and community and resources pages, and my blog.
